Ras El Hanout – Moroccan Spice Blend

The name Ras El Hanout in Arabic means “head of the shop,” and literally refers to the best spices the store has to offer. The spice blend makes an excellent addition to roasted meats or anything. Great with roasted potatoes or a marinate for grilled vegetables etc. Spices really only last about a year or so before they lose their potency. I use the spices I already have in my pantry before I spend the money and purchase a jar of Moroccan spice mix. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place.
